Griffith ACT Australia is a prestigious inner south suburb of Canberra. It is situated on the southern side of Lake Burley Griffin, and is surrounded by historic buildings such as Parliament House. For the moment, there are a number of ongoing public consultation processes underway. The ACT Government is currently assessing Draft Variation 375, which is inappropriate for part of Griffith and does not meet community expectations. The development is not suited to the community’s demographics and should be placed on a RZ2 block, as it would cover 90 percent of the block. It will be a shame if the project is not built as planned, but only as an experiment.
